Must have the following:
· Valid driver’s license
· Clean driving record
· Consent to and pass a criminal background check
· Pass drug screening
· Complete all state mandated driver training
· Have a minimum of 5 Years driving experience
· Must be able to read and write in English
· Must be proficient in using GPS and other navigating systems
In addition, once all the requirements are met, Drivers must also:
· Complete any new or updated training required by Law
· Complete New Hire training and orientation
· Continuing education on safe driving
· Take defensive driving courses
· Have certification on patient handling and professional interactions
· Be CPR certified
· Stay HIPAA compliant and maintain confidentiality
· Always be punctual and adhere to schedules and routes
· Vehicles will be inspected daily by safety team
· All vehicles and Drivers will be insured according to the State and Federal Laws required, as well as customized NEMT insurance for employees and vehicles.
· Pre trip and post trip inspection on each vehicle will be done by each driver before operating.
· Records and Logs will be maintained for all regularly scheduled services, such as, tire checks, oil changes, brakes, sanitation, disinfection, exterior cleaning and any other cleaning and maintenance.
· Maintain and update logs for fire extinguishers
· Pre trip and post trip check on all first aid equipment and supplies
· Reliable telecommunication equipment will be used to ensure proper communication, changes, notifications, route changes, delays and any other necessary communications.
· All trips and transportation requests will be made via the website, mobile app or direct call to Triune Transportation.
· Routes will be coordinated through the Dispatcher.
· A client’s insurance and eligibility will be verified and confirmed by the home office prior to any services being scheduled and confirmed.
· Medicaid and Medicare clients eligible for services will be verified prior to each service, regardless of the frequency of requests.
· A minimum of 24 hours is required for all requests for services.
· Triune Transportation will offer standby transportation in some cases. Clients may request to be on a waiting list, in the event that there is a last-minute cancellation or another opening becomes available.
· All cancellations must be done at least 6 hours prior to the scheduled pick up or service request, by placing a direct call to Triune Transportation.
· If the 6-hour minimum is not met, a fee of $25 will be charged.
· In the event of a no call, no show, a $50 fee will be charged and will need to be paid in advance before services will be rendered.
· A log will be maintained for all cancellations, no call no shows, and unpaid fees.
· Billing agents will comply and be up to date on all Medicaid and Medicare billing requirements.
· Billing agents will call all insurance carriers to verify coverage and ensure proper payment.
· All private and self-pay clients will be billed and must pay 50% of the total cost prior to scheduled service, which is nonrefundable.
· Dates, time, milage, and services rendered will be logged and calculated for each client to ensure proper billing.
· Forms of payment that will be accepted is credit card, debit card or electronic payments, no cash or checks will be accepted.
· All drivers will be certified and equipped to handle clients with mobility challenges, physical limitations that require assistance.
· Wheelchair and stretcher clients will be safely secured prior to vehicle movement, and all safety measures will be used.
· Aides, companions or family members will not be permitted to ride with wheelchair or stretcher clients.
· All vehicles that service wheelchair and stretcher clients, will be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
· In the event of a non-life-threatening incident, that does not require emergency assistance, an incident report will be written and logged. A copy of the report may be requested by the client if needed.
· Minor injuries or incidents not caused by an accident will be reported, logged, and aid will be given to the client by the driver.
· If a severe accident occurs, paramedics will be called and the client will be treated, and transported, if needed by the paramedics to the nearest hospital. These accidents will be reported and logged.
· All records, reports, logs and all client data will be maintained and retained in a secure office designated by Triune Transportation for a period of 10 years.
